What information will I need when selecting suspension for my vehicle?Updated a month ago
Every suspension setup is unique, and every vehicle owner uses their vehicle differently. To ensure we provide the correct spring rates and matched components for your needs, we’ll need the following information from you:
- Towing: Do you frequently tow a trailer, boat, or other heavy load? If so, how often and what’s the approximate weight?
- Rear Loading: Do you regularly carry heavy loads in the back of your vehicle or only occasionally? How much weight do you typically carry if you keep gear in the back full-time?
- Front Weights: Have you fitted or do you plan to fit a front bumper or winch? Are there any other front-end accessories that significantly increase the vehicle’s weight?
- Off-road Use & Driving Style: If you drive off-road, how often do you do so? What kind of terrain do you tackle (e.g., beach, dirt roads, trails with heavy articulation)?
- Age of Current Suspension: If your vehicle has high mileage, it’s important to consider the condition of your current suspension, including bushings. We typically recommend replacing bushings if they’re over two years old, as they may need replacing when fitting new suspension.
